The Psychiatrist's Son
May He Rest in National Security
On January 4 of this year, Duncan H. Cameron, son of the notorious Dr. Ewen Cameron, died in Washington DC.
"....peacefully on January 4, 2025 at age 90. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Duncan had a steady, gentle manner that put people at ease and a twinkle in his eye that revealed a true delight in life."
Duncan Cameron had admitted to destroying files that might have been crucial in subsequent lawsuits filed by victims of the MKULTRA program at the Allan Memorial in Montreal.
In 1983, Duncan H. Cameron stated under oath that after his father died of a heart attack while mountain climbing in 1967, he went through boxes of documents and files "relating to a particular patient" were taken out and destroyed.
Years later, he denied destroying documents, or claimed not to remember destroying them, but admitted to removing the documents which later were destroyed and said these were documents relating to "a particular patient".
That "a" could loosely be interpreted to mean "any" particular patient -- Or it could refer to one patient in particular, that he can't talk about or identify.
"DUNCAN CAMERON: I recall contacting the American Psychiatric Association and asking them if they would have an interest in holding his papers in their archives, and they expressed an interest in doing it. I then *went through* the papers, because I felt that it would be improper to leave in the papers any paper that identified patients. Because it would seem to me, or I was concerned as a lawyer, that it might be a breach of the patient-doctor privilege. And I recall going through them and *taking out* several papers that appeared to me to be identified or could be identified as dealing with a particular patient. "
He says he removed certain files for legal reasons, in which case he would mean all patient files since they all would have included names. Under questioning, he becomes vague about these documents he decided needed to be done away with quickly. I don't see why, since he was handing them over to a professional association and could have let them make that determination.
Joseph Rauh was the lawyer representing plaintiffs who eventually won a $100,000 settlement from the Canadian government. He naturally assumed Duncan was talking about files pertaining to his clients who were victims of Cameron's depatterning experiments.
Duncan claimed to have no memory of these plaintiffs, and didn't say how many patient files he selected for destruction at his father's home in Lake Placid, NY, a hundred miles south of Montreal, and with no lawsuits pending against his father or McGill in 1967.
In 1967, in upstate NY, Cameron was widely known as a benevolent figure, nicknamed "the understanding doctor" in the local press.
John Marks would not write the book on Cameron and the MKULTRA program until 1977, unleashing a flood of newspaper stories about illegal brainwashing experiments in a Montreal hospital.
So why would patient files from the Allan Memorial represent such a threat to Cameron's family, requiring action to destroy evidence?
Unless these files relating to "a particular patient" were not really destroyed but removed and kept somewhere, perhaps at the State Department where Duncan Cameron had worked since late November 1963, and where by a stroke of luck, he was hired within days of the Kennedy assassination.
We know the State Department contained factions and individuals hostile to JFK.
"The lingering influence or legacy of Allen Dulles and his brother John Foster Dulles, who was Secretary of State from 1953 to 1959, meant that factions within the State Department might have still held views or followed policies aligned with the Dulles brothers' Cold War-era stances on communism and covert operations." We also know that Cameron's ultimate goal was not healing mental illness but creating mind controlled agents for assassinations and espionage. Cameron even developed the CIA's Kubark torture manual for use in counter-intelligence operations worldwide.
Another thing we know for sure is that Lee Harvey Oswald was in Montreal in the summer before the assassination, while Dr Ewen Cameron was still brainwashing patients at McGill.
What if what caught Duncan's attention were dangerous files pertaining to "a particular patient" who happened to be the programmed double agent and Russian-speaking Castro supporter arrested on 22/11/1963 and quickly silenced by one of the men said to have been in the CIA hit team headed for Dallas?
That would definitely be a wild coincidence.
In 1967, Duncan Cameron had been working for the US State Department for going on 4 years.
The State Department at that time had employees who were loyal to former CIA director Allen Dulles. In fact, it's rather likely that Duncan belonged to the Dulles faction, given that Allen Dulles was directly responsible for his dad's CIA funding at the Allan Memorial, and signed the MKULTRA program into operation in 1953.
What if what caught the son's attention was a name that was a household word in 1967? A connection so explosive that Cameron's State Department bosses would have ordered the evidence destroyed on the spot?
What if the real cause for alarm was Cameron's programming of Manchurian Candidate assassins for the CIA from 1953 to 1964, meaning CIA contractor and Montreal psychiatrist Dr Ewen Cameron had been involved in the plot to assassinate the President?
One thing is certain: CIA Director Allen Dulles, who signed the MKULTRA program into operation, was no friend of Kennedy, but he was Dr Cameron's principal boss and benefactor.
The Dulles influence in Washington continued under James Angleton until 1975, and John Marks wrote his book exposing the MKULTRA program in 1977.
Meanwhile in Albany, with no big news stories or lawsuits yet pending, i few if any knew the truth about Dr Cameron's brainwashing experiments. His glowing obituary speaks of a kindly, avuncular man and pillar of wisdom.
With crucial files destroyed on Cameron's death, it would be ten years before the world would hear about the MKULTRA program, and connect the McGill psychiatrist to the Manchurian Candidate/ lone gunman/ mind controlled patsy conspiracy theory -- by which time the proof would have vanished forever.
Duncan Cameron told the inquiry he didn't remember destroying the documents. Perhaps in fact they were too important not to be securely stored somewhere deep underground.
We're always told that the files relating to MKULTRA were destroyed but some secrets are so poorly hidden, they might as well lurk in plain sight, or only as a twinkle in Duncan Cameron's eye.

Here is the excerpt from MADNESS beginning with the 1983 deposition:
1983
Duncan H. Cameron (from the transcript): I recall contacting the American Psychiatric Association and asking them if they would have an interest in holding his papers in their archives, and they expressed an interest in doing it. Then we brought them down — I think it was probably during one of my infrequent jaunts up there — I brought them down in my car, and I then took them over and deposited them at the American Psychiatric Association.
Joseph Rauh (from the transcript): But as far as you know now, neither you nor your brother or sister or mother have *any* papers left that are not sort of public documents?
Duncan: That is correct.
Rauh: A question that Mr. Turner wanted me to ask was what happened to the papers identifying the patients? Were they *destroyed* or did you just take the patient’s name out?
Duncan: No, they were destroyed.
Rauh: So any documents that would show the treatment of the plaintiffs in this case were destroyed?
Duncan: I have no recollection whether there were any papers relating to any of the--
Rauh: --Well, I will put it another way. Any documents that related to patient treatment were destroyed?
Duncan: That’s my recollection, that any documents that related to patients were destroyed.
(music plays)
Ben: The main takeaway here is Duncan admitting that he did remove documents pertaining to specific patients, before giving his dad’s papers to the archives. And he admits that the papers he removed are now destroyed.
Amory: He doesn’t explicitly say that he was the one who did the destroying. Though he does seem to imply that it was done by him or someone in the family.”

What this means is, patients of Dr Cameron were unwittingly involved in the plot to kill JFK - that included the mind control program deployed on an entire population to carry out and conceal this world-shattering crime.
By not remembering what happened, we all become accomplices of deeply corrupt and dishonest men like Cameron father and son.
Thx for sharing, as the rabbit hole deepens. Looking forward to your insights.
