Field Commander 1979

This is painful to watch: Jimmy Savile's Christmas special on Top of the Pops, on December 20 1979. Savile had stopped hosting the show but came down to London from Leeds that week for this edition, happening to coincide with the end of Leonard Cohen's Field Commander tour of the UK.
What a wasteland the British music scene was - with Savile still hanging around the BBC,.but not yet outed as a pervert on an industrial scale. Leonard spent that week in pop star luxury at the top of the Royal Arch Hotel, almost on the doorstep of Buckingham Palace. i know because I saw him there in late afternoon of December 23. He kept trying to play Silent Night on his guitar - without success.
He was waiting for someone or something, stuck in that extravagant penthouse suite that I knew he couldn't afford. There were used syringes in the ashtray, but the teenaged twin sisters from Poland had disappeared-- another woman phoned while I was there and he invited her to come on over.
I had dropped in to say goodbye as I was leaving for home the next day which was Christmas Eve. There were some boxed toys and wrapping paper scattered around the carpet -- presents for his children who were in the south of France with their mother and he was headed there soon.
I think he met with Savile that week and a deal transpired that saved Leonard's flagging career and dragged him into the royal pedo network where he ended up swimming with sharks…

Leonard had made very little on that tour despite full concert halls and appreciative audiences. He was on the verge of bankruptcy. No way would he have shelled out for that extravagant suite or stayed for a week when his kids were in France waiting to spend Christmas with their dad.
I think it was all courtesy of the Palace and Savile. They were testing him. The second act in that TOTPS show played a song called Working for the Yankee Dollar- i think this was a signal to Cohen. It's also a line in Field Commander Cohen and was a signature lyric for that tour -
There's more i could explain and i will. I feel i can talk about what I saw in 1979 without seeming to be smearing Cohen because now to most people it will be clear that he was a cog in the great wheel of blackmail and pedophilia that we didn't know about at the time.
He was their guest. It was a perilous moment and I witnessed it because I was there on a crazy mission, receiving messages that felt important and only make sense all these years later.
The messages started coming to me on John Lennon's 39th birthday. They kept me up all night on October 9-10 1979 as I tried to write them down. One came as a movie about the Ayatollahs and women in Iran - religious wars and popular uprisings and a sense that the whole world was on a dangerous cusp. I saw Leonard and his Zen Master Sasaki Roshi seated side by side holding a baby. I didn't know at the time but the Roshi had just joined Leonard's tour in Germany.
A voice uttered a message which was also written in glowing letters : TWO COLOSSAL ENERGIES OF LIGHT TRIED TO CONVERGE FOR THE THIRD MILLENNIUM BUT WERE FORCED APART BY THE THIRD WORLD COAGULATION.
So this was the message I delivered to Leonard two months later when I caught up with him in Manchester the night of the concert Dec 09:Manchester, Apollo Theatre
He seemed to understand it because he invited me to join his entourage for the rest of the UK and Ireland tour.

I wonder if he attended any of Leonard's concerts? Or was he too busy saving his life and his family in St Petersburg?
I'd bet a load of bling that Jimmy Savile was in the audience in Manchester.

Also, the "baby" -- babies are part of this. I was at the age (28) when women often dream of babies if they haven't had any. I didn't mention what made me look into Jimmy Savile a few years ago: I dreamed he brought a baby wrapped in a pink blanket to Leonard's hotel suite-- now we know more about elite child sacrifice -- was this is price of membership?
In 1980 I had never heard of Savile, and I barely knew about Top of the Pops. But who else would have arranged for Leonard's stay next to the Palace. Leonard met the royal family and became a counselor to Charles and Diana during their long miserable marital breakup. He told me he met them. And Charles released that video saying he loves Leonard's music. Its all there in plain sight.
I heard Leonard already knew in September 1979 that he was going to meet the Queen on his UK tour-
Where did Lennon fit in? I don't think he was friendly with the Palace or Jimmy Savile-
Did the plot to kill him originate with the royal family and MI6? Did they offer him a way out by faking his death? Was Leonard brought in as Chapman's handler-- did Leonard believe the Beatles were evil baby-killers because of the 1966 album cover for Yesterday Today and Tomorrow?
